The seal in the timing cover is behind the opti. If you mean on the opti, itself, it has it's own little seal (referring to unvented optis) that is part of the unit. I'm sure the vented ones have one, too, but you can't see it.

When I said reseal it I meant with the timing cover in place, no need to remove it.
