balancer hub being too long (sfi fluid)

I bought a fluid balancer and when I measure the hub from the inside to the end it is longer than my stock hub. I havent tried to install it yet but I thought it wouldnt fit right so I emailed the company that I got it from and asked them about it and they asked what the part number was on the box and I told them and they said it was the correct balancer and they have sold over 100 of them with no problems or complaints. I just thought I would ask if anyone else had a similar problem or if I am just worrying over nothing and should just go ahead and install it to see if it fits.

I am pretty sure GM used a different length balancer in 96-97 cars because of the OBD2 crank sensor, I can't remember if it's shorter or longer those two years. Hope this helps.

Yeah the 96-97 are a little longer and thats what I was thinking when I asked the company about it because mine is a 95 and it states it fits 93-97. Im going to try and put it on today and see if everything lines up. I did notice that the stock hub doesnt even butt up to the crank snout either so I guess it doesnt matter. I was just worried that it would put a lot of strain on the snout but I guess not.
