bad oil pressure sensor on 93 w/long tubes... wat to do?
bad oil pressure sensor on 93 w/long tubes... wat to do?
ok wat the title says, anyone have any solutions besides the ovious removing my driver side header and changing it? i herd that the 93s have a provision on the intake manifold to change to the 94+ sensor location, anyone know if this is easyer? do i have to remove the manifold? is the sensor the same or do i need to get a 94 and up one? and is the wiring clip the same?
also i heard of people using copper piping and rigging kind of a remote sensor, anyone have pictures?

Re: bad oil pressure sensor on 93 w/long tubes... wat to do?
is it hitting the actual sensor, causing the problem? cuz when i did my Pacesetter LT's i ran into that problem. so i just went to the hardware/plumbing store and made a 90* elbow to clear the tubes. i can get some pics if you want, just leave an email address. aslo if you need any more help just post up in speeddensity.org. everyone is very helpful and its for '93 specific LT1's.
Re: bad oil pressure sensor on 93 w/long tubes... wat to do?
When my new motor went in last year the installing place moved my Oil Pressure Sensor to the top back of the block. It's IMPOSSIBLE to get to anymore. But, not going to break it messing around either.
I'd say take the time to pull the manifold and header and relocate it to the top back of the block.

yea thanks i know about speeddensity.org i was just too lazy to creat an account for one post lol i changed the oil today but i couldnt even get the old one out so i just left it. i think im gonna have to remove the manifold to do it, do i need anything else besides the sensor and some wire to extend it up there? the sensor is the same rite?
