TSP Rumbler and cut-out?
TSP Rumbler and cut-out?
I'm very satisfied with the tone of my rumbler, but i want some ear-splitting drag car noise Since it's pretty much already a straight-thru system do you think a cutout will make it a lot louder?
Re: TSP Rumbler and cut-out?
I dont think a cut out will make much of a difference. Get some long tubes and ditch the cat if you want it to up the volume. Just ditching the cat will give you a few decibles.
Re: TSP Rumbler and cut-out?
Was thinking of ditching the cat too, cost me $20 max and wouldn't have to wait for anything to ship.I know a girl that has a stock LT1 with cat(s) and then straight pipes, it's so loud you can hear it when it's coming towards you for about 3-4 city blocks.
BTW I appreciate your input guys

Re: TSP Rumbler and cut-out?
Pull your y pipe off and gut your cat out with a pry bar and screw driver. Took me about an hour to take it off gut it out and place it back. It's not to raspy. I love the sound of it and it really not that bad when I'm driving at normal speed. Just when I nail and gear down instead of using my brakes.
Re: TSP Rumbler and cut-out?
when i first bought my car it came with a borla catback with no plates and a resonator in place of the cat to tone it down i guess. i decided to buy a cutout to replace the resonator and with the cutout since i was going to sell it anyway. open it just sounded bad @$$. when i closed it the sound just moved rearward through the borla and out of the cabin while still maintaining the raw sound. i absolutely loved the way it sounded with the borla open, but this was on manifolds.
