Bad oil leak just happen...
I have a 1995 Lt1 camaro and i finish a head job a few months ago. I replace both sides and just got back from a 14 hour drive about a week ago. She ran fine only hit about 180 the whole way. I just pulling into my car port from driving around town parked it the about 2 mins later needed to back it up to work on some stuff. I reversed and theres a 5'' oil puddle then a trail from my reversing. I pull it back and jack it up and i see its leaking somewhere above the oil filter. can someone plz tell me where its leaking i have to work at 10am tomr and if its the back of the intake i need to knock it out tonight.
It could be that manifold leak everyone is always talking about
I believe around where the oil sending unit is at...while your there you could check the oil sending unit as well as it might be the one leaking. How is the oil pressure reading have you put a guage on it aside from the dash one?
Im a beginner just stating what Ive read and researched.

lol hell yea Chaos1187! but i drove 7 hours and back no leak but once it started there was a trail of oil. anyway i replaced it and when i did i tightened the elbow so it put the sender vertical then i used a 3'' adjustable Channel Lock to take it off and back on. i used the channel lock from the passenger side. hope this helps someone. thanks everyone
i suspect mine might be leaking but not in the normal spot. i resealed the OPSU last night but the leak might actually be coming from where the bracket for the OPSU attaches to the block. the reason i think this is because my intake was done a few years ago and the guy says it shouldn't be leaking again but it seems to be leaking on the pass side somewhere but i felt some fresh oil under where that OPSU assembly attaches to the block.
