Your fuel filter may be clogged but it isn't causing your poor fuel economy. To change it:

1)Relieve the fuel pressure in the system. I told you how to do that before.
2) Jack up the rear of the car.
3) Crawl under and locate the fuel filter....it's on the inside of the frame rails and has a fuel line running in one side and out the other.
4) Armed with the right tools, some rags and a drip pan, simply remove and replace..it's pretty self evident how to do it....
Good Luck!

Your excess fuel consumption problem is something pretty big. In previous posts you mentioned raw gas smells, gas in the oil and blowby puffing out the oil filler cap. Now you're using about 40% more fuel than you think is right. I would think you have a bunch-o-black-smoke coming out the back of the car and that your O2 sensors are shot.

that's similar to the LT4 hot cam specs. I'll be one of the aftermarket tuners could do a mail order tune for you. Have you ever heard of www.pcmforless.com?

No, no...$175 + shipping. You can even get Brian to tune a computer for you, ship it to you and then you send him back the core. That way you can even drive the car when he's doing the tuning and you're waiting for the mail....

Brian is the owner/tuner at www.pcmforless.com . Go to the website and you'll see all the info you need. He'll probably direct you to Alvin since yours is a 93 and has a removable chip...

My FPR only has one vacuum line connection point. It looks just like this one:
http://shbox.com/1/fp_reg.jpg .

You may have an adjustable FPR. Are you sure one of those nipples isn't a screw?

something i did not ask is that by the car running rich or lean could that be getting gas where it should not be. and maybe wash out the cylinders and cause blow by. and i still cant get to the bottom of the miss it dont do it all the time so i can only think that wot it is spiting oil all over things and then gets the miss. but cant see where the oil is comming form.

I don't see how that's possible. If the injectors were to fire at the wrong time you'd just have fuel hitting closed valves...which is what you already have with the batch fire system on the 93's. Unless your injectors are way bigger than stock and/or your O2 sensors are shot, you're dumping the right amount of fuel at a close enough time to run right.

An intermittant miss is hard to diagnose and is a symptom of a bad optispark,,,along with other things. Try to fix the oil leak, test and/or repalce the O2 sensors and then we'll help you diagnose the remaining issues.

Good luck!
