My ignition control module is makeing a loud ticking noise, no its not my rockers, but is this a sign that my module is on its was out???

I do have a flat spot when i accelerate from 2000 to 3000 rpms...

Just wanted your thoughts on this, Thanks

 

I don't guess I have ever heard one make a noise. <shrug>

 

I know the ICM is nothing more than a high speed switch. As for it ticking..I'm at a loss there. Coil maybe arching near there. My ICM did fine cold, then when it heated up, it went down the drain. It eventually failed.
