Bad Dyno troubles/issues....CC306..
Local Houston LIst member John Benton dyno'd at MTI with stock LT1 castings (unported, stock valves, etc) LT4 HOT cam kit and MAC headers, ORP and dyno'd 360+ rwhp.
I ported my stock LT1 heads, used stock valve size Stainless Steel Valves. Using those heads and an LT4 HOT cam kit I dyno'd;
a. w/stock manifolds/exhaust/gutted cats = 340+ rwhp(1999)
b. SLP shorties/stock catback = 337 rwhp(1999)
c. Hooker Long Tubes = 389 rwhp(2000)
(PS: all these were with the M6 tranny-long deceased)

Phil: you dont think the numbers are a little low? I don't know what kind of porting job those heads have on them, but ive seen stock heads with LTs and cc306 w/1.6:1 rr run 340-350ish rwhp with a manual.

I wasnt implying that you were lieing about the numbers that you layed down. But everyone here knows that the hotcam cars on stock heads only make about 320-330rwhp corrected. I would rather have the real numbers than someone telling me higher just to make me happy. Anyways, good luck with the car.
folks. 12 bolt...he has u lose lots through that...u'd be surprised, not sayin ur numbers shouldn't have changed...you should go back to the original dyno and dyno it there...and see what happens...i bet u see better results...anyone else agree
I think it was just because your car got scared knowing mine was in the other room. And wanted off the dyno and outta durham as fast as possible.
Sucks your car didn't put out what you wanted. Me and darren were on the other side betting what it would do and when we heard what it put down we were shocked. Good luck with it and bring that thing down here for a beating sometime. Oh yeah........... my car is louder. I still say you cheated

That is what the car had. No one told me numbers to make me happy. I was very upset that day. A lot of bad things happened, which resulted in 14 dyno runs. I can direct you to a site of my club and you can ask. They will tell you what hell that day was.
And I was told to be happy w/ those numbers that I got.
It sucked.

That dyno was done on 01/01.
It was a Dynojet 248c Dynamometer.

#2 I hated that part of town!
#3 What I wanted was what I should have gotten. That car runs
damn good. How many autos do you know that can spin
running 60-65 mph?

I bet you will change your mind. That car on 40E seen it. It even freaked Drew out, since he was behind me. I floored it at 60 something, and holy hell it broke loose! And plus, you just don't go from 352 rwhp, 381 rw torque w/ the hot cam, stock heads, to 354 rwhp, 343 torque with the addition of the CC306 and the heads I have. That is common sense. That is why I hated all those newbies saw those numbers.
They just don't know. I would have ran ANY one of those cars there that day!
