Is this bad to do?
Is this bad to do?
On Sunday I was inspecting my car because it was running pretty bad, shuttering and bogging a bit, poping in my LTs and running really rich... I noticed that 1 of my plug wires was burnt, as I was trying to move it away from the header it broke apart at the burn... I looked around at local shops for wires but it seems they need to be ordered in.
Would it be ok to run my car on 7 cylinders if I disconnect the injector and remove the wire completely until I get new wires?

Why dont you just go to the auto parts store and buy a cheap set of wires and then just pick the one thats fits the best and throw it on there until you can get a set ordered. There is also the option of just making your own plug wire. Why chance it with running it on 7 cylinders? You get what I mean?

yeah im gonna put a vote toward finding at least a cheap replacement for the time being. what costs more, temp spark plug wires or the engine problems that could result bc ur driving on 7 cylinders? i wouldn't risk it.
