Bad Battery??

Just recently I started having issues with the car not wanting to start. Won't even turnover or crank. It's like there is no battery in it. Battery is fully charged. Everything is dead. Once it's started it stays running. I cleaned and checked the battery terminals and retightened the battery mount.

Re: Bad Battery??

Sounds like it might be the starter itself. I had the same sort of problem just recently. It started to labor when starting, taking longer each time, sounding like a low battery. I thought it might be the alternator and/or the battery but they both checked out. Finally, when trying to start it all it would do was "click" and then not even that. Turns out the starter was toast.

Will the car start if you you jump it? If it does then it's likely not the starter, but if even a jump doesn't start it then it's a good chance it's the starter itself that's bad.

Re: Bad Battery??

If every thing is dead with a good battery should not be the starter maybe the switch
also check main fuse 60 amp i think ??? you might want to get a test light and see were the
power loss start's

Re: Bad Battery??

Try douching the ignition switch with something light like WD-40. Try wiggling the switch while you turn it.

Re: Bad Battery??

Could also be the clutch switch. It's a black switch mounted on the floor under the clutch pedal(looks like a black box). If it's not working, the car will not start. Mine got to intermittently not wanting to start...it would do nothing when the problem occurred(not the normal click, click, click, of a dead battery).

One morning, it finally would not start at all. I traced it to that switch. I think I pulled the plug from the switch and shorted it with something to test if it would start. Sure enough it fired right up. I replaced the switch and was good to go.
