I've heard that the crank from the 4.3L "Baby LT1" V8 can be put into our engines and the outcome will be a 302...........in fact I believe that I have an old mag article about that......

pretty sure they were only in caprices.... 4.3L v8. the block is also different from the 350s in case you were thinking about rebuilding it and throwing in a 350 crank.

Brad is correct. It only came in Caprices and it was called L99. The heads are different as well, and it had 19lb/hr injectors, but most of the accessories/etc are interchangeable.

Linky to Andrew Mattei's new "secret project".

I was gonna get one of those and build it to a 305. Then get that LT1 carb manifold. Don't flame me yet. I wanted to race it in the American Sedan class in the SCCA. Know what I'm talkin about? That might work, we'll see. And if anyone can give me any info on that class that'd be cool! THanks!
