B body LT1 question

I've found a 5.7 LT1 from a 95 Caprice I want to buy as a rebuild core. It's a complete running longblock with 119k, even has the intake, fuel rail and Opti for $100.

Are there any differences in the block and rotating assembly between this engine and the F body engine. I know it's got iron heads, but I wasn't sure if that was the only differance.

Thanx

with the exception of the cam, the block and internals are exactly the same. obviously the accessories are going to differ slightly but as far as the guts go, they are the same.

Cool, All the accessories are gone anyway. All I need is the block and rotating assembly, the heads and intake are just bonus items I can sell.

I'm sure you know this already but the Impala will have iron heads.

YUP! Already knew that,I've already got a set of LE heads waiting to be installed. I just needed a good short block to rebuild so there is as little down time as possible for my car.
