tuner cat showed the computer pulling 40 degrees of timing...
40 freaking degrees.....

That fixed with my new mods..... I cant comprehend that gain...

should the car been trapping 111mph with no timing pulled?

Are you saying you had 40deg of knock retard, or were you simply reading the programmed advance, which is often shown with a negative sign in front of it.... e.g. "-40deg"?

 

You're looking at the wrong table.
Stock, maximum knock retard is 15 degrees. Usually 12 though.
You need to datalog the car, not look at the program with tunercat.
