AUTOZONE can't scan my car!? WTF!?!??!?

# for Harbor freight reader???

I have a 1995 z-28 and would like to be able to read codes stored, where can I get a cheap scanner, this on guy on this posting said Harbor Freight for 50 bucks? Help.

The one Harbor Freight sells only works on '96 and up.

I had the same problem in my '97. I went to Autozone and 2 different mechanics. Finally we figured it out. It was the fuse for the cigarette lighter had popped. Evidently the port picks up power from that curcuit. Once I changed it it scanned fine. Hope that helps.
