Autometer gauges... electrical vs. mechanical?

I'm shopping for transmission temp and oil temp gauges. I know autometer offers electrical and mechanical ones... I'm just curious what the difference is as far as accuracy / quality.

Thanks!

Mechanical is ALWAYS more accurate. It doesnt respond to shorts and electircal problems like a electrical one would. Mechainical is the only way to go for accuracy. A little harder to install but well worth it.
