Automatic shifter ****
I'd like to replace an automatic shifter **** on a 1993 Trans Am. The leather on the **** is ripped up. How can I safely remove the old ****, and where can I get a new automatic shift **** that will fit (and look good 
)

Move the selector out of Park, so you have some room. Remove the retaining clip (overgrown staple 
) by prying it forward. You can then pull the **** straight up (it may take a little force).
Many of the GM ***** are interchangeable.
