auto radiator in an m6
auto radiator in an m6
My radiator cracked a few days ago. I got a new one from this guy, but it had the two extra holes in it for the trans cooling lines. I have a m6. Can I just cap those holes and use it?

It will work just fine, those two holes are for the stock tranny cooler lines on a auto. Its basically just cooler inside a cooler. Just leave m and go. ALthough capping them off wouldnt hurt in case in the future you decide to sell the radiator keeps things inside clean.
You shouldnt loose any cooling efficency from that system. Fluid from the tranny doesnt actully flow through the fins it flows into a bladder system so to speak of inside radiator tank on the passenger side. in theory it uses heat transfer from one fluid type to another and circulation to keep it all cool.
I bought a 4th Gen radiator on autobodypartsonline and can't be happier with the fit and quality! It's designed for both autos and M6's (hook-ups for the tranny cooler and stock oil cooler. It was $121.95 plus tax/shipping (total in CA was $140). All fittings are in the original locations.
