ED: I bought the rear seal and a pilot bearing. Which way do I install the new bushing? I assume the side with the "angle" goes toward the trans. GM wants 50 for the TA & exhaust brackets. I noticed that either you drilled a hole in the shifter housing so fluid will spill on the output shaft, good idea. Lastly I ordered a clutch from SLP, the 85 dollar stock replacement one, this clutch should work with the spec pressure plate right?
Ok finally started the conversion. Got the steering column out, pedals, and centerconsole. The only complaints so far.......TOO MANY FREAKIN WIRES!!!. Oh my gosh how am I going to remember where to put them all. Anyways, I have some concerns.
Pedal Questions: On the auto setup there are 2 switches connected to brake pedal, 3 on the manual with 1 of those on the clutch. Do I swap over my old switches to the new pedals, cause thats what I did they seem to fit fine? Now what about the clutch switch there is no wiring to connect to it? Also, what are these switches for, do I even need the one for the clutch?
Steering Questions: I can't remember off the top of my head but I think somebody told me I need to leave some wires disconnected because one of them controls the ignition. It won't allow the car to be started if the car is in gear (when it was auto) and if I don't disconnect it the switch will be engauged and will think the car is in gear and I won't be able to start it. CORRECT??
Wiring Questions: I really don't feel like using that manual wiring harness, but thanks again Ed, so I need to know what I need to hook up in order to make this work. I'm only concerned about the speedo, cruise, reverse lights.
I'm sure I'll have other questions in the next up coming weeks, weather permitting, so I'm counting on you guys

Dude read the conversion page that Alex did on the conversion. There are two wires that go together inorder for you to start the car. I just hardwired them but they should be hooked up to a switch on the clutch pedal.
The rest is really simple just the wires on the shifter hook up to the reverse lights. And splice the VSS( speedo wires) It is all explained on that page. Don't worry about the wires on the column they only go back in one way like most of the car actually makes it nice
Let me know if you have anymore questions feel free to give me a call to might be easier to explain!
