Attention: Anyone who purchased from "All-Ignition"
The OEM definition in the automobile industry constitutes a federally-licensed entity required to warrant and/or guarantee their products, unlike "aftermarket" which is not legally bound to a government-dictated level of liability.
thats excately what it says OEM warranties their parts while aftermarket does not. so what Jack is saying is that the company is saying that they are selling OEM again OEM but are not, and are making money under the false pretenths while not even telling the truth to all they buyers of their product. for example if i had a pinto and transformed it to be a corvette would you complain that i said it was OEM and it really was a frame of a pinto and had all the panels and components of a corvette or would you just enjoy it?? well thats what this company is doing.

Hey I bought one from them back in September, have not installed it as I am awaiting a timing chain before doing the swap. It is nib and I have not given them feedback, but they make it sound like it is built by GM and I am finding out it is NOT. This is deception and fraud as most if not all aftermarket optical sensors fail in a short time. I only bought this as they advertised OEM manufacturer. Could care less of the cap and rotor, it is the optical sensor which is the critical part here. So let me know what I need to do to join your cause. If we get several people together, they will reconsider.

I bought a cap an rotor from them. I have a bad fuel pump so I don't know if its a good unit yet. But it did say same as OEM and I don't think it even comes close by the looks of the rotor and cap; only paid $55.I am not shure on how it preforms yet, but once I get my problem fixed ill let you know.
Gatorhead, Could you post pics of it and what the differences should be?
I'm an older Chevy person. This 96 that I just picked up is the newest car that I've ever owned. SO my interest in this "opti-spark" is gaining momentum after reading all these problems..
I don't want to jack but how hard is it to remove the opti?

Well my wife dropped the camera the other day and I have yet to take it apart and see what she broke so right now I have no way of doing the pics.
The hard thing about changing anything on these cars is room. You have to remove the water pump, belt, dampener, passenger side cooling fan, and all the hoses. You first have to drain the system, then take all that off and then rmove the bolts holding it on and replace it with a new unit. You should check to see if you need new seals (I highly recommend it). Then put it all back together, fill the radiator and run her until Op temperature and bleed the air out. You should take precaution when doing this and cover your opti with several dry rags as to keep ANY moisture off of it.
As far as opti's go there are a few places to get them. You want to stay with an original GM unit.

I purchased a Mass Air Flow Sensor from All-Ignition. The part I received was so poorly designed, it wouldn't even properly fit. You would think when air flow is in the title of a part, it would be a primary concern, but obviously they thought they could bypass this. I sent the part back and got a refund in about 2 weeks, but only $85.00 of the $110.00 I paid. Keep in mind I also covered all shipping costs. So what's up with that $25.00 they kept? Hmm...

There were better ways to bring attention to something then by bringing back a nearly 4 year old post.
As with most mechanical/electrical problems, we here see many times the person that is troubleshooting the problem really doesn't know what the problem is or doesn't know how to find it.
Based on the fact that the subject of this email has conducted over 14K sales and has a 99.5% approval rating, we would have to conclude that at least 2 people we know of, probably didn't know what they were doing.
Taking it one step further, if a problem persists with 2 different components(original part and the new replacement). Chances are high, the problem is somewhere else.
Please stop wasting this sections time and post this in another forum.

Re: Attention: Anyone who purchased from "All-Ignition"
Many times people will put positive reviews before they actually try the product. If I buy something that I have to install, I will wait for a week or two after I install the part or whatever to leave feedback.
I see the OP's point though, regardless of the price, it was advertised as a OEM distributor, not an aftermarket item. It should have been an AC/Delco, not a copy with the real item's P/N etched in it.
