ASM Header Guys
ASM Header Guys
Anyone having any clearance issues with the Y-Pipe Collector??? After the new motor and everything, I'm having some issues with it. Basically, it's now almost touching the floor pan just sitting there. The flange on the Y-Pipe collector/ORP is almost touching I should say. Any type of engine torquing acceleration or rouch shifting and it bangs the floor pan.
Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and if any resolution was met. Thanks.

Re: ASM Header Guys
Neither did I until I had the motor out and back in. I'm wondering if there's an adjustment to the motor mount that needs to be done. I may be able to back the collector off some and angle it downwards some, but that's about my only option and I'll most likely end up with a leak at the collector if I do that.
Re: ASM Header Guys
Nope, I've never had any problems with mine. But, unlike you I've never pulled my motor out. Though I'm sure that technically I have with all of the repairs and mods that I've done on it.
I would try to readjust the motor mounts though before I'd mess with the collector. I hate exhaust leaks!
Good luck man.

my header colectors and the y pipe collector both hit on my car after i first
installed the headers. Your motor mounts are more than likely sagging pretty good. I put a pair of poly mounts in and it has been fine ever since.. Good luck- Rob
