ARP Wavelock or ARP Standard rod bolts?

Again, on a hotcammed daily driver.

Is it neccesary to spring the extra $30 for the "Wave-loc" ARP's, or will the standard ones work fine for my application?

If youre using the rods that came in your 97 ARP makes a bolt specifically for those (PM) rods. The part number is 134-6005

Larry,

Have you really seen a change? I've measured roundness and size going up 90,000psi and haven't seen a thing.

Just automatic with me to resize after a bolt change.
Some have a ridge at the parting line some don't. Just something I do to insure they are round and it don't cost that much.

So, just curious...are the wavelocs ok to use (just not necessarily recommended in answering the original poster's question)? Just trying to make this clear for anyone that might read this thread later.

Shoebox,
I don't see the need for them in his application. I have used them 1 time and the hassle of getting the caps off was enough for me.The stock style with the knurl do a good job.
In a app that will be turning above 7,000RPM's they may be useful but when that time comes on my builds I use a rod with dowel's and cap screws.
Just my preference.
