ARP thread sealer & assembly lubricant

Where can I pick up some ARP sealer and lubricant for my heads?

Also which bolts do you use each on (head bolts)? I know whatever bolts touch coolant get sealer and the others get lubricant. But which bolts touch coolant and which ones don't?

I used thread sealant on all bolts and put oil under the head of each bolt. Permatex thread sealer from AutoZone.

Why did you put oil under the head of each bolt? And did you use the washers that came along with the ARP kit?

I put oil under each head to give a more smooth consistant torquing even though the ARP bolts came quite *greasy*. Yes, I did use the washers because the heads are aluminum. Although the stocker didn't use washers. But hey, what is it gonna hurt?

Oh...and one more thing. There's 3 different head bolt lengths. I'd highly suggest you keep up with which one goes where.

But like most people, they don't pay attention during the disassembly.

So, short bolts (see Chilton for head bolt numbers/sequence),
16, 12, 8, 4, 3, 7, 11, 15

Medium bolts.
14, 17

Long bolts,
15, 5, 2, 10, 9, 1, 6

There's a total of 17 head bolts per head.

Haha, I was just thinking I have no idea which places i pulled the different size head bolts from. I am just going to use the gm thread sealer on all of my ARP head bolts.
