ARP Rod Bolts

Okay, I'm getting my rods re-conditioned. My machine shop gave me my invoice and the part number listed is a 134-6003.

I decided to look up the part number on Summit. I plugged all the variables for my 1995 LT1 and it came up as a 134-6005.

What is the difference between a -6005 & the -6003????

Do I need to tell my machine shop to get the "correct" ones? Or are they all compatible?

Thanks guys.

Thunder says 6005 as well.

Looks like the 6003 might be for the earlier SBC engines.

134-6003 is what you need to get for the LT1. When you buy upgraded rods these are the arp bolts that come with them. Did you try and search this site for the #'s? P.s. Jegs.com is cheaper than anywhere I found when it comes to Arp bolts.

Okay - I've read your post twice and I still don't understand...

Are you saying that the SBC style (6003's) are the rod bolts that come with LT1 style rods?

OR did you mean the 6005's???

6005 = LT1
6003 = old school sbc

That's from what I can find.

Check it out! I have never seen these 6005's come up when referencing the 1993 - 1997 LT1 motor.

Don't know if they're for aftermarket rods or stock or what. Call ARP.

page 30 says 6005. There may not be a difference.
