Arizona Speed and Marine Throttlebody?

Well Folks... I've had enough with holley. I'm lookign to get a new Throttle body 58mm, and I don't want an ugly BBK on my polished engine bay, so I was thinking about puting up the extra cash and getting the ASM 58mm throttle body. Does anyone have any complaints of problems about the quality of thier throttle bodies? I don't want to shill out the big bucks for more holley problems to return to me. It was a damn shame too, the Holley was beautiful as hell, but they need to really re-work that piece.

Please, Please, Please, don't turn this into a Holley thread, this thread is to be about "ARIZONA SPEED AND MARINES" throttle bodies only, and those that own them.

Bought one of their modded 48-52s. Good quality. I find it interesting that people always say how nice the Holleys look, esp. with the red butterflies.

My question is how the hell can you see the butterflies with the plenum hooked up?

Re: Arizona Speed and Marine Throttlebody?

I just recently upgraded from the BBK 52mm to the AS&M 54mm. Only had to modify the port openings a smidgen to accomodate the larger ports. Looks like a jewel in an otherwise dumpster looking underhood arrangement of hoses, pumps, delteq coils, wires, support brace, etc.

Can't attribute any significant performance gains, but my sticky throttle problem with the BBK is gone.

What problems did you have with your Holley. I have heard good & bad about all the "brands", seems like its "luck of the draw" when you buy one of these things. I have a Holley 58mm waiting for my new motor, even polished it some more too really make it shine . I hope I am one of the lucky ones.
