Arghhh!!!

#8 piston has some good burrs on it... so does my head from a spark plug that broke off. Great... now I have to take the burrs of the damn piston top... this will be a fun job.. no more or less like a 12 hour surgery.

Was the broken spark plug related to your ignition failure? Or was this afterward?

Re: Arghhh!!!

It was unrelated. (still don't know why it cracked after 7K miles though.)

The Igition cut out due to a bad opti, then I fixed that and swapped the plugs and it ran okay, but a blown HG is what caused the car to stumble and die out after the engien got to about half way on the meter. It was fine when it was under 180. I had some coolant sitting on the bottom of the piston. I got lucky enough to get it early before it got a chance to invade my mobile 1 severly.

Re: Arghhh!!!

Double wipe the cyl and wipe some more(get the oil out. Then debur the piston and blow and wipe and blow and wipe the cyl when through. Do it in the car.

MY ACHING BACK with it being #8
