Anything I need to know or do before replacing vavle seals?

It seems to be pretty straight forward. Is there anything I should know before I tackle this job tomorrow? thanks

Dont drop the valves Compressed air or rotating you engine are your friends. I also hope you are changing your springs too. So cheap to pick up a new set, and such good insurance. So much work to change them out, and you are already going to have them out.....

I swipe a drop or two of engine oil on the valve stem and on the "what do you call?' part where the valve seal will mount on... makes it easy and less prone to damage the new seal.

Oh yeah get a long socket slightly smaller in diameter than the valve seal.. and use it to push the seal down on the valve steam an to help you seat the valve seal on the cylinder head... Remember easy does it.

it works for me

You may as well order some new springs too since you have to remove them. It would be a shame to just toss the old, tired stockers back on there when you could plan ahead for a cam change in the future by installing some springs good for .600" lift.

Well I took care of the seals today and it was no big deal. More time consumming than anything else. I reused my springs because they are the lt4 springs that come in the hotcam kit. They are about 20K miles old at the most.
