How much? Who sells them? Any problems? How hard was the install? Any noticeable decrease in "torque twist"?

 

i'm running the energy suspension motor mount's and i love them... now my motor doesn't shake all around and knock my long tubes into the frame towers anymore

summit racing carries them as well as jegs too...

 

That is what I wanted to hear.

How long have you had them on? What do you use the car for.


BTW I don't mean to seem "****" with asking so many questions about a relatively cheap part. I just like to research everything before I buy. I can't afford to throw away money. Plus once the summer autox season kicks in, I generally don't have time to mess with the car, travel to events, and still do normal household things like mowing.

energy suspension motor mount's here to, no problems. took about 2 to three hours to install and about 50.00 dollars

 

Poly mounts are great. Big difference compared to the saggy old rubber ones and the headers dont bang on everything any more.

 

I also have the Energy suspension poly mounts. The only difference I've noticed is the car shaking at idle

 

is it possible to install the engine mounts with hooker LT's already installed. How hard is to change the mounts while engine is in?

 

One of the reasons for asking what is the car used for and how long have they lasted is a recent bad experience with Poly. The E/S front control arm bushing set. I need the poly for camber control (autocross car) but the caster bushing (rear most bushing on front LCA) busted after about 500miles!!

 

That would be my concern. How much engine movement is transmitted to the chassis and subsequently, the body?

 

It is possible, but it's kind of a pain. I did it after the headers, and I wish i had done the mounts while the headers were off. There isn't too much room in there!!

 

I have the ES mounts.

My stock ones at around 105K miles actually didn't seem too deteriorated... but the new ones seemed to make things a bit "tighter."

I didn't notice any more vibrations, but I already had a poly trans and torque arm mount.

Someone local installed them for me, with the engine in the car. He had to jack the engine up, and even though had a tough time getting all the holes to line up for the new mounts.

 

If you are worried about vibs, get them in black instead of red. Black is a lil more forgiving. To install remove mounts, drill out rivets, take top half off, install new mount in the SAME POSITION as the old one (take a good look) and zip tie it the 2 halves together (for easy installation), then reinstall back on the chasis. DO ONE SIDE FIRST THEN THE OTHER. I have heard of people installing the mount 180* and then incorrectly on the chasis. That's why i've telling you to do one side first and take note of the position of the orginal mount.

 

I have SOLID motor mounts. Tell you the truth, i felt more of an increase in vibes from the poly trans mount............
