Anyone used the ypipe from summit for the hooker LT's?

Curious on fit for:
STW-CA937HKA Y Pipe, Offroad No-Cat., Camaro/Firebird LT1 1993-97 w/Hooker Full Length, Alum.

Dont feel like paying 400+ local to get a custom one and heard the mufflex hangs a bit low. Just curious on this alternative.

I don't know what your capable of, but I went with the hooker lt's and went with an x-pipe setup that was very easy If you are worried about clearance, I bent the floor boards up that hang low, and it gave me some more space. Good luck with whatever you do

the hedman X pipe from summit is cheaper than that Y pipe, then get some dynomax's with dumps right after the X pipe, it will be much cheaper than a Y pipe and cat-back. as far as i know the X pipe from summit fits with no problems at all.

$400 WTF??? dude i got a custom y-pipe made locally with clamps for each end (two for the long tubes, and one going back to the exhaust) so i can unbolt it right out whenever i want and it only cost me $120.. i would prolly get that one out of summit cause all the sh*t i ever ordered from them has been flawless.. but i think you could do much better locally.. you just gotta look around! i had guys telling me that they wouldnt make me one unless i put cats on and that i wasnt going to find anyone to do it otherwise yea neways

I wonder if that is the y-pipe they copied from me. If it is, it fits well.

Im not going with true duals as my sig suggests. I dont want it to be all that loud. I already have the cat back and just need a ypipe. No one has ever used this one?

I bought one and a few things were wrong with it, first the flanges that bolt to the header flanges were cocked about an inch, I just cut them with a chopsaw and bolted them in place tacked the y-pipe up inder the car , removed it and welded it back up (actually brazed that alumnized pipe is hard to weld with a stick...lol). The y at the back was 3 inch in and 3 inch out and clears easily my BMR DS safety loop. As far as modding my car and clearance, the only issue was the drivers side tranny crossmember needed a little grinding and I dinged the y-pipe to clear the bolt heads, everywhere else it clears nicely and sets up under it better than the mufflex on my 93 T/A.
