Question Anyone used the CSR billet electric water pump?!

Hey guys, I was going to go with the cheap $90 cloyes timing chain but it needs the use of an electric water pump. The other timing chains are $350+ so I figured the $170 e. water pump + $90 chain is still only $260, so thats like $90 off of JUST getting the other chains and I am upgrading to an electric pump to save me some h.p.!!!! Has anyone used this exact setup, just looking to see if its reliable and works good. Also it says it takes up 5.8amps, with my underdrive pulley will this mess with my alternator? So far I have no alternator problems and have a stout stereo amp installed too, THANKS---

Why not go with an oem replacement timing set (sprockets and chain)? I've ran one for 107k miles. I am putting in another oem replacement GM (about 100 dollars) set on my fresh rebuilt motor.

I have ran the CSR pump for a few years, and no problems either except for the time I knocked a wire loose, and didn't check it. It started to get hot. I parked the car, and hooked the wire up after cooling a bit, and it has ran fine since.

Great!!! Thanks bro, If funds get tight I may just get an oem replacement The one on it has only 10K miles on it but I figured since I was going to throw in a cam I should upgrade things while everything is off, ---
