Anyone think a G2 CAI will hold back a 306 cammed stock headed LT1?

I am not sure if it is worth upgrading my G2 CAI on my setup. I know since it uses the stock filter it is not nearly as good as the others, but is it worth the money? How much RWHP could possibly be on the table between two CAI's?

Thanks,
James

Without a direct dyno comparison with your set up & G2 cai and some other one, who knows what the power difference will be.. Could be a lot, but then again it may not be.

What I would do is look at all the time, effort, & money you've already put towards all those other mods. You want to make the most of them, so why not get one of the better flowing cai's out there?

You can make it a little less painful by keeping an eye on the For Sale board and eBay for a used one.

It's defenitel going to be an improvement over the stock unit. Not the answer you are looking for, but right now your stock heads would benefit the most from atleast a stage 1 at a minimum. But yeah I understand it aint easy having the heads done. I wouldn't expect big gains without the heads reworked.
