Anyone running the slim Bosch type III injectors?
Anyone running the slim Bosch type III injectors?
I am getting some 48# Bosch type III injectors with IRCC connectors on them and heard someone on the corvette forum had a problem with them. Anyone have type III and have a problem like needing to set the injector size different in the pcm then what they actually are? A corvette guy said he was running tunercat/odb1 with 33lb injectors and had to set the pcm to 30.15 injector and run 50 psi fuel rail. Before he did this he could barely start the car because it was super rich but when running it was super lean.
I am getting them from FIC set to 48# at 43.5 psi for a blower (overkill for 6# of boost but bigger is better). My car is ODB2 but I'll also try them with my odb1 pcm set to 48#.

Got everything I needed finally (pcmcia serial adapter for laptop/tunercat, 48lb injectors). Flashed the '95 pcm for the 48lbs, installed the injectors (put them on the intake first then slip the fuel rail on top). Disconnected the battery so the pcm has to relearn everything. Started up the car and it runs like normal. I suggest these new type of injectors because they atomize the fuel way better than the old bosch type II (fat metal ones). They have no fit problems because they are from FIC. They were custom fabbed with the right connectors for the LT1 and can be any size from 33 to 48 so I choose the biggest ones. They are rebuilt and flow tested to match at $239(?) plus shipping (use a Live.com and paypal membership and get an additional 8% off using Ebay "Buy It Now"). FIC also buys back your old injectors.
