Anyone replaced the eletric trunk lid motor?

I am guessing the motor went out that works with the key fob. When I push the button under drivers side it does pop up, so I am guessing there must be some reciever that might be out because it is not the key fob. If anyone has any input or something I could look at to figure out for sure what it is.

There are not seperate release mechanisms for both the interior release pushbutton, and for the key fob actuator. They both release the same solenoid. If the interior release button works, the problem would appear to be with the key fob, or in the module that receives the key fob signals and routes them to the door locks and hatch release.

Or did I misunderstand your question?

On a 1997, the receiver is integrated with the Body Control Module (BCM).

So could that be the cause of it or would other things be out also. Where exactly do I find the part and could I get another one from an autostore?
