Quit all your bickering. His car has 2.73s stock. 93's were available with 2.73's or 3.23's. 94 I believe is when they changed over to 3.42's stock on all M6 cars.
And the TB bypass has been dynoed tested for around 4-8rwhp. Think about it... cooler air is denser = more hp.

You are wrong . Im pretty sure of it . I have read this more times then I can count in many diferent places . My 95 T56 had 3:23's . I found out thrue massive research that only other gear for t56 was 3:23's . Not 2:73's . Was never an option for an M6 car. And 94 and up was 3:42 only . The gears in the 95 where put in bye a previous owner .

No seriously, his RPO codes read GU2... some 93's had 2.73's depending on what T-56 tranny they got.

if you want to say the TB bypass doesn't "gain" horsepower, it keeps you from loosing horsepower.....then you could also say that headers don't "gain" horsepower, they free-up horsepower, same with a cat-back system.

and i serisouly doubt he's going to be running his car down the 1/4 mile while the engine isn't up to temp.....so the TB bypass would infact be in effect.

Yeah, I'm being a little **** about it, but what I say is true.

Headers help you regardless if the engine is cold or hot. The same is true of almost any mod. That is why I differentiate the TB bypass from other mods, because it does not always make an improvement in HP.

I agree that if your car is warm at the track, it is better to have the TB bypass.

Most or all 93's came with the ZF 6 speed from the vette and as for the gears I'll have to check, I have one of the original shop and sales manuals they gave the mechanics in 93 to introduce them to the new style. I'll check it when I find it.

That must suck. Can you imagine how long each gear is? Gears would be my very first mod.

~270rwhp, mid to high 13's @ 102~104 mph. No way is that car going to trap higher than 105.

I don't think I'd put 4.10's on that tranny. Look at 1st gear. You would zip through first before you knew it, and I bet you would have a VERY HARD time getting any traction in 1st.

I would go 3.73 max.

4.10's would be way too much for that tranny. 3.73's are a much better choice. Oh ya and do it very soon.
