Anyone interested in a car bon fire

Im soooo f***ing sick of this damn car. Ive had to buy a new motor, a new transmission, complete exhaust, fuel pump setup, plugs, wires......

I take out the panels under the steering column and OMG did someone play evil scientist with wiring. I have disconnected wires up the *** just hanging out down there and had 2 on/off switches hooked up to my cigarette lighter

I am in need of a tune because I have LTs and had to delete the AIR but have capped it all of with fittings. That would throw me a code after it warmed up and I didnt really feel any loss of power. Made me run rich but hasnt seemed to do much else.

Well today after about 700-800 miles on this setup she decides to not like me again and dies coming out of my parking lot. I let it sit for a few seconds and try to start it again. It stumbles at about 500 rpms and goes up and down. Then after about 20 seconds of this it is like normal?????? I went to look at some houses today and had to turn my car off, and low and behold she wont start again. It cranks over but just wont start. I can get it to start after about maybe 10-20 trys but then it just starts right up

I had to turn it off when I got home obviously and then tried about 3 hours later to start her back up and she wouldnt at first again but then was running really really rough, tried to give it some gas and bam dies. I say F it and go inside.

Ive checked the battery for charge and it sits at 12.73 volts so I know thats good. My best friend has all my tools and hes in Mass. for a few weeks so I have nothing to really work with here.

Ive searched the site and have found people having this issue are reporting:

Bad fuel filter(will be doing this monday)
Bad fuel pump(highly unlikely, just replaced)
Ignition switch(trying this if filter doesnt work)
Optispark(the car will F'n burn if so)
Plugs and wires(these also are only 7-800 miles old and havent given a previous sign)

Once Im able to get the car running it runs fine and WOT and normal driving is fine. If anyone that has some good knowledge of these cars wants to chime in or if anyone is in upstate NY and wants to take a look at her that would be great. I can tighten and loosen bolts and read mechanical diagrams but when electrical aspects get into the picture I might as well be eating apple sauce and wearing a helmet.

Im at my wits end with this thing, Ive had it parked for all but 3 months since Ive owned it.

P.S. Ive also noticed a ticking sound which appears to be coming from my intake manifold. All I can say is that if its a collapsed lifter Im spray painting the thing 13 different colors adding a super wing and fart can and driving it over an embankment.

Re: Anyone interested in a car bon fire

i have a "ticking" sound coming from my intake.. its actually a small plastic tube on the drivers side top of the intake... its the same sound my last car made from the PCV valve so i think, at least in my case, its normal.
