Ahh, I see. I knew it was taller, but I didn't measure it and I figured that it was becasue the old one may have been worn out. Now that I know that, I am going to keep a closer eye on it and see what happens. Shims aren't a bad idea either, but it's true you will run into clearance issues.

I just installed the mount. It is sweet . Although it is unaligned now and make the car vibrate. I'm thinking of puting two washers between the cross member and car to shim it down and try that out.

Anyone know the height diffrence??

I installed mine just a couple days ago and the height difference was the first thing I noticed. When I pulled the old one out and put the new ES poly mount on, the crossmember wouldnt go on. I was like "what the crap" then i compared the size and realized it was a tad bit taller, so i had to jack the tranny up a little more to get everything to fit, which i was not comfortable doing that, but guess I had no choice.

I installed my prothane mounts and my engine actually felt a little smoother. No vibrations, and when the engine revved, the car shook much less.

I love them.

any performance gains from doing this? i just put a stock one back in for 8 bucks with a life time warrenty... Also with the cross member lowered like 1/2 and inch or less you wont loose any ground clearance.. its not that low really

The height of the ES mount is 1.937" (1 15/16"). Anyone know the height of the stock one? I want to shim my cross member down.

Kuppler,
Did that measurement include the plate that comes with the ES mount? I measured the Prothane mount and it is 1.8125" tall.

I would assume that's the plate as well, since they say that it is required for installation.
