Anyone here install their Aerochamber themselves?

Just wondering if this is a shop job, or something a non welder can do in his driveway...

Seems like the stock tailpipes are attached to the stock muffler, can they be transferred to the aerochamber?

Can this job be completed with exhaust sealant and clamps? Or should I go to the local eye gouging muffler shop?

I tried removing the tailpipes from my stock muffler and it was a No-Go, too much of a bond develops over time. That was with access to a lift. Take it to a shop and they can take care of you without blinking an eye.

I have realized that taking shortcuts on exhaust work just creates headaches down the road. Do it right the first time and be done with it. Take it to an exhaust shop and have it welded, and save yourself from leaks and headaches.

Advice well taken. I accidently got the aerochamber with the flanged inlet as oppsoed to the one with just a straight cut, the muffler shop said they would have no troubles putting it on my car.

Gotta love it.

(I have the 21729, where as I should ordered the 21721 - pretty much same muffler except for flange)

I did it myself, and I did one horrible job. I brought it to a shop and had it welded. I WILL be putting the headers on with my dad, who has more experience than I do. It shouldn't be hard to put the headers on. Gonna take the battery, alternator, and start out to give me some good workspace.
