Anyone have to or tried shimming slave cylinder?

When i installed my new master and slave I had to tighten the slave atleast 3/4" to get it to fit flush. So the rod must have pushed the fork atleast that amount and it is probably held at that spot when driving. 97bowtie says his fits flush and he did not need to pull the slave on with the bolts. The clutch doesn't grab very hard and seems to slip a little bit when taking off. I don't see how i would go about adjusting this though.

The slave shouldn't need to be pulled on w/the bolts. It should fit flush w/out being forced on.

uhh no....u need to push the rod in and put it in (as soon as u let go of the rod it will start expending, so u have to pull it in with the nuts or push it it with one hand and tighten the nuts. If your rod doesnt extand by itself then there is something wrong with your slave or master.

I just went a checked and Marcin is right. My memory failed me. You do have to compress the slave rod to install it - that or pull it on w/the nuts.

This is correct, to install it correctly, you have to push in the slave and stick it on there and hold it while you get the bolts on
