Anyone have this problem with the MAC Y-pipe?

I was finishing up my MAC header install('94-'95 style), and bolting up the Y-pipe. It bolted up great, but there was one issue. The drivers side tube of the Y-pipe wants to just slightly rub the crossmember that is in front of the engine underneath the car.

I'm just wondering if I should grind part of the crossmember away (which I don't want to do) or if it is probably that my motor mounts are old and compressed.

Any thoughts?

I would look to the motor mounts first, especially since your car is an M6. It's a lot less destructive to replace the mounts than to grind the crossmember. It's also the right thing to do

Yeah, mine is the off road Y-pipe also. No CATs in the Y-pipe. I'm sure it's the same one you have.

I didn't bolt the Y-pipe up tight, so it might pull it away from the crossmember when it's tight.

It's no big deal though. The Autozone around here carries the Energy Suspension motor mounts if I need them.

By the way, how do you like the performance of the MACs?

I was pretty happy with them.. honestly its hard for me to compare before and after, because after i got the headers and ypipe on, i had a little bit of a wait before i got a custom pipe welded up to connect it to my catback.. and driving around with open headers basically left me with a lot less low end.. but once i got if finished it ran great.. It also sounded sweet too with running the off-road pipe... now i have electonic cutouts and a custom dual highflow cat y-pipe.. Good luck with them!
