Anyone have Pacesetter Longtubes???
kind of a dumb question but the ceramic coated long tubed headers on redline performance are 399.99 each....does that mean for a pair...lol...
also i was gonna get hookers but if i can get some pacesetters that are cheaper and comparable also easier to install then im there.....pennypinchers"r"us

as far as the exhaust flow ?'s. Go to an exhaust shop and tell them what you are shooting for and they will tell you what will best suit your car! Go to likw 3 or 5 and then average and take what they say. People specialize in one area for a reason man, go ask them and they will HAPPILY tell you a perfect answer...
Does anyone have any experience with the coating on these LTs?? It sure does look nice, but I wonder how the quality stacks up to the brands that have been around for a longer time. If it takes a year or 2 for the coating to wear off (hypothetical) then I dont know if anyone will even know the answer yet, these headers seem to have just hit the markets several months ago, any thoughts?

Go 3" duals man. 2.5" duals flow more like a 3" single.

That guy even posted that 2.5" duals flow equal to 3.5", so don't be so sure that you're proving me wrong.

There was a write up on this a while back and the 2.5'' duals outflowed the 4'' or was right with it.
Dual 2.5" could make more power than a single 4" (and it probably does), but when you're talking about flow only... 4" will "out flow" dual 2.5".
It is simple geometry. They will flow only as well as their maximum area.
The area inside one of the 4" would be (4/2)^2*pi=12.57.
The area inside 2 of the 2.5" would 2x(2.5/2)^2*pi=9.817.
Dual exhaust with a crossover has different bends, mufflers, scavenging, etc... so the power will be different with different cars, but as far as flowing goes, its all about area.
And for those of you who dont understand geometry, when you double the diameter, it quadruples the area. So it isnt as simple as saying dual 2.5" flows like single 5"; a single 5" will have twice the area of dual 2.5" tubes.

I wasnt trying to prove you wrong but 3'' duals is to much for a stock car. Even with heads and cam making 400rwhp is to much.

I have decided...dual 3" pipes with X to mate up to the coated Pacesetters. Then Flowmaster 1-chambers with angled dumps.
Pacesetter sure is making a name for themselves I wonder how companies will respond. Its only a matter of time until word gets out about these and their quality if indeed it is a reputable long term header choice....either Pacesetter starts to dominate or Hooker and JetHot drop prices...hmmm
