So good that I just bought it . They're just as good as Lou's Short Stick but more reasonably priced. Everyone who has one loves it (tons of posts on LS1.com).

The seller mentions that the stock shifter has a rubber stopper that he says:

If you know what it's like to miss third gear when it really counts, blame that rubber bushing on your stock or Hurst shaft. This shaft is solid with the shift mechanism so it is either IN OR OUT of gear
Isn't that rubber stopper what prevents the shifter from bending the forks in the trans? Couldn't this hurt the T56 on a hard shift?

All aftermarket shifters eliminate the rubber piece. I don't think it's a big deal. Ham-fisted drivers are a bigger risk to the already weak shift fork.
