EST Electronic Spartk Timing, it covers tuned port and the lt-1. Guess the book is wrong ICM then..
It's really not a big deal. You can call it what you want as long as others know what it is you are referring to. Most people here are used to calling it the ICM because that is the name given for it in the F-body factory manual (which is my reference, BTW).

people on any Forum, if you want it called a ICM then it is a ICM and not a EST.

That's really funny.

Did you notice when you called it an EST that the first response was "what are you talking about?".

Not argumentative, just precise.

Just reading it out of a book that covers Tuned port and LT-1

You write something on here and people just pick apart what you write and never answer the question. Or they stray onto another topic which has nothing to do with the original question..

Like the post above says, many did not even know what you were talking about. I was wondering myself, and I have been around these cars for awhile.

Anyways If you want your question answered, what is it? What mod are you talking about????

I actually at first thought you were talking about the aftermarket timing device called I think "Smart spark" or something like that.

Your question was confusing and inaccurate. Once it was figured out what it was, your question was promptly answered.

I don't know what you are griping about. You brought all this upon yourself. You also disrespect other posters by bringing your topics (not just this thread) up to the top too frequently.

Yeah, sometimes threads get off on a tangent, but usually there are underlying reasons.

That wish could later be a mistake, Eric. shoebox is one of the more helpful members here who will answer anything from very basic questions to the advanced stuff.

Also, just some advice and you can take it or leave it but, often times the smilies have a very profound effect here... I'm not sure how you meant it but your excessive use of the smilie may make me not answer your question even when I know the answer. I don't know... maybe it's just me, but that seems a bit rude when you are the one asking the questions. Even if you believed you were justified in using that smilie, it might be best to "suck it up" to get the responses you desire. Like I said, just a comment and you can take it or leave it
