Anyone have dynomax bullet muffler?

i got a y-pipe from a friend for my lt's.......its got a dynomax bullet muffler/resonator welded into it after the y........then it turns up to go over the axle.............the rest of the exhaust to go over the axle doesnt fit very well so im gonna ditch it

im considering just welding in a turn-down after the dynomax bullet.............is there anyone with a similar setup? this would save me the cost of having someone fabricate the whole over-the-axle section and tips (i dont care about having tips out back)

i dont mind things being loud..........but i dont want it to be nearly as loud as open headers

the ypipe is dual 3", into 3.5", then 3.5" dynomax

I have a feeling that'll be louder than your liking. The bullet cleans it up(rasp and tin sound) and knocks a lil volume off of the idle, but when your driving it;s nearly as loud.

I have Hooker LT's with mufflex Y-pipe into 3" piping over the axle into the dynomax bullet with a turn down and it sounds sweet.I am using a high flow cat after the y-pipe though. I has a really deep rumble. I have gotten alot of compliments on the sound of it. If your car is a daily driver you might get sick of it. Mine is for nice sunny days.

I am running hooker LTs into a 3in Y into a 4in Dynomax Bullit. Then a cutout that Ys into a 3in reducer to my SLP Dual Dual.

Sounds very nice when capped up through the SLP. When I have the cutout open it is loud to say the least. Cops harrassing you about covers how loud it is

I got a QTP cutout so I could open and close it as I needed

I had SLP 1 3/4" headers, SLP Y-pipe, with 3" pipe back to a 3" Dynomax Bullet as the only muffler. I had the Bullet in the stock muffler location with a 3" drivers side outlet. It was loud, but tolerable for around town driving. What made me change it was a couple of long highway trips. The drone was really bad at constant highway RPM's. So if you don't drive on the highway alot and like it loud go for it. I have a Dynomax Ultraflow now. It flows great (can see right through it) but isn't quite as loud as the Bullet.

I've got Hooker LT's, true duals, X-pipe, and dual Dynomax bullets. It's "retarded loud."

I was at the track a few times, ran open LT's, then ran with the exhaust. I asked my friends and they said the open LT's were way louder.

Its the same pitch and tone as open LTs too, just quieter and a little cleaner sounding.

I also have some questions. I'm wanting the Dynomax Bullet(s) too. I want a true dual setup though. I have SLP 1 3/4 shorties. I want to run that into an x-pipe, to 2 Bullets, and probably turndowns. Would 3" be too much, or should I go with 2.5"?

Skip the turn downs, that is what creates a drone at cruising rpm's. Just shoot right out the back. I have LT's, true duals with x-pipe, and dual dynomax bullets the short ones, they make a longer one which is a little quiter. IT is insanely loud but sounds badass with the CC306.

well i didnt have time to mess around with it, and i needed to get the car driving.................so i had a buddy at an exhaust place install the ypipe, and we managed to get the rest of the exhaust setup to fit over the axle (3.5" pipe)

theres a few spots where the pipe is really close to supports/frame..........at certain rpms it vibrates now.............very annoying.

also seems to be a general loss of low end..............and im idling at 600............i think there is a leak somewhere.

LMAO at some of your guys descriptions, they're great
I thought my SLP's/ORP/Borla was loud, I can't imagine how loud some of your guys set ups must be.
