My buddy just installed one of the Optispark 2's that are from Summit. The car ran find for about an hour then studdered to death. After messing with the harness it restarted, made it home where it wont restart now. We swapped the harness wire off my car (which runs fine) and that didnt fix it. He is throwing a CPS code, but as I have read, that wont cause a no start situation. I guess my question is, should we be looking at the new opti, anyone had such a quick failure?

YES!!!!! my car wont even start after i replaced the opti with one from summit that was the summit brand....let me know if u figure out what the problem is

 

Oh crap, I just received a Summit Optispark II on monday.

 

still no luck, any ideas anyone?????????race day is only 48hours away!!!

i didn't have the cam pin lined up with the back of the opti, got it started but it's still not starting well or running good
