Sweet, so your are saying the Profrom covers also clear the altenator? Btw, I also found out that 87 vette covers clear the altenator.

I've had those eBay ones for quite a while now, they work great. The only problem I had was the supports inside needed some minor clearancing for the Pro Mags. Quick mod, cheap, and looks about 100 times better than the stockers

Well, after talking to the local speed shop guy that has a 68 Camaro w/ an LT1, he said 3/8 would be more than enough. He has 3/8 rockers and was running NO2 on top of that in his car. I don't know what lift he has but he said he was putting over 450hp to the wheels and hasn't had any problems.

The 3/8 1.65 rockers are made to clear the stock covers. This saves me the added expense of valve covers and new studs, etc. Watch me snap a stud after the first week though.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a set of ARP 3/8" studs. I snapped a stock stud just tooling around on the street...luckily the rocker and what was left of the stud tipped over and fell out of the way instead of jamming up against anything. It did, however, knock a gigantic dent in my valve cover when it let loose.

New studs are just too cheap...don't risk it with the stockers.

Thxs for the advice. Lyold Elliot did my heads and assembled them with all new hardware. I am just assumming that they are stock studs since I wasn't specific on the studs themselfs. The local speed shop here sells ARP for like $40 so I am going to set some today.

Btw, my new rockers came this morning from Ohio. Man, I ordered them from Summit last night at 5pm and FedEx had them at my door at 8am this morning. It cost me $20 bucks for overnight but damn, 8am! Those guys aren't messing around. I am in Louisiana and it's about a 13 hr drive up there. The box must of not stop moving at all.

I also had to order some GM guideplates from gm parts direct. I don't have gm plates and hear that any other may not work correctly. I have been running whatever Lyold put on with no problems though. I will just swap them out when they get here.
