Anyone got the eBay valve covers??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=34202

Anyone have these? They seem to be the only alternative besides LT4 covers. Which happen to be twice as much. Just seeing if anyone had any problems with them mounting to an LT1 with roller rockers.

About 6 months ago, I emailed an ebay seller and asked if their valve covers fit RR's... Their reply said no..
They looked just like the ones in Poorman's link, however I forget the exact vendor name..
Any one actually have these covers? And do they for SURE fit Crane Gold RR's?
[ Not doubting your post scoobysnax, but yours are different and don't have the alternator 'notch']

I got mine from the same guy, but I got the tall ones. They clear my Harlan Sharpes and look great. Very good construction, thick and strong.

I have them and they bolted up fine with 1.6 LT4 RRs. The only complaint I have is they are very hard to shine up with polish. I recomend a serios buff job before you install them.

I am debating between getting Harland Sharps in either 3/8 or 7/16 in a 1.65 ratio. The 3/8 are narrow body and will clear the stock covers but I would like to upgrade. Did you install the 7/16" ones under your stock covers? Looking at pics on Harland's site shows the 7/16" to be a much larger arm.

The only thing that is keeping me from getting the 7/16" is that I am not sure if the stock valve covers will clear them. I heard about trimming the supports but now someone is telling me they may hit the top of the cover. Geez, I may just stick with 3/8" if it's going to cost me another $100 just to put some valve covers on that fit.

lol, I hate to "clearance" anything that is brand new and over a $100.
It always looks like crap when I do anything like that.

PoorMan,
I have those exact valve covers. I also have Comp ProMag 1.6 rockers with the Crane 10308 spring kit. I havent had a single problem with them. I did however have to get creative with the hose that runs from the passenger side cover to the TB b/c the hole was too large. They are pretty difficult to clean and shine also.

I have Crane Gold 1.6s and those exact same valve covers. They fit perfectly with no clearancing necessary, at least in my case. I just installed them this past weekend.
