Re: Anyone ever use Elitesparkplugs.com?

Turns out that most of my plugs have fouled out from not starting properly and having been misfiring. I cleaned all the wire ends with brake cleaner, put in new plugs, applied di-electric grease ONLY to the inner boots (IMPORTANT) do NOT apply di-electric grease to the spark plug or metal ends anywhere. I then reinstalled everything. WOW, awesome, no problems and it's running like a champ! Sorry for any inconvenience i caused you. It was a pleasure talking with you on the phone yesterday (ALL day pretty much) wish i lived closer Jim sounds like he'd be a great guy to hang with an shoot the sh*t about cars all day! The only thing they need is a sexy-voiced receptionist to answer phones all day!
thanks again!

ONLY to the inner boot? Hmmm...Ill try that. I applied it to the spark plug. I double checked everything again. and found a couple plugs loose That fixed most of my problem, although I can still hear a sharp ticking sound. I checked the headers and its tight. Did you apply any di-electric grease to the opti side of the wires?

Re: Anyone ever use Elitesparkplugs.com?

applied lube to the plastic ends of the opti, not the wires b/c the metal part is close to the tip of the boot, i didn't want to get any on the metal part. I just smeared my finger on the ends of the opti and it seemed to work pretty well. sorta hard to get your finders around there due to the water pump, crank pulley, belt and such, but i managed.

Re: Anyone ever use Elitesparkplugs.com?

I ordered a set today, called me and fixed me up on a deal. Terrific service.
What does the kit come with?
Dielectric grease, wires, and looms/clips?

The grease should only be applied to the rubber areas?

Yeah, no looms/clips, that would be nice though. They will be another 20.00 to 45.00 depending on what you go with.

Yes, I have the OTVC kit, PN 116-50-356 through Thunderracing.com and of course the OTVC wires from Elite.

Yeah, you will have to get some looms. I paid 49.95 and a few extra bucks in shipping from Thunderracing. It sucks paying extra money for stuff, but the setup is well worth it. The setup looks awesome and I have gotten numerous complements. I used all red wires and red looms so they really stand out with my all black Z.

What are coil wires...? The spark plug wires go from the opti end to the spark plug end.

The coil wire runs from the top left part of the opti to the coil itself, on the passenger side head. Spark plug wire kits come with them, all that Ive bought (about 5)
