Anyone ever switch the Evans NPG+ coolant?

I had read about in a past GM high tech, but I reread the whole article again and the stuff sounds awesome. Then I went to their website and did some more researching and this stuff is amazing. Its a wonder why its not OEM (that'd be too obvious).
Anyways, I'm definetly putting this stuff back in my car. Check out the website.

Check for a Advanced Tech thread with Mr. Horsepower he knows a good amount about the stuff. Best thing to do is read that tread from a while back about it.

I'm running the Evans NPG+ in my stroked Impala....and have been for a year now. The stuff flat out does the job! I've had some opti failures along the way, and have had to drain and replace the Evans a few times as a result, but I would STILL never part with it.

Your temp gauge will read higher, however that's because you're now carrying away more of the hot spots that water was leaving behind.

I'm running almost 12:1 compression on Ca 91 octane with some agressive timing curves, and have NEVER experienced detonation of any sort...either by ear, or on the datamaster.

You couldn't pay me enough to go back to water.

Ken....take the leap of faith, and never look back.

Just for the info, I'm running a BeCool radiator as well, which probably helps overall. I don't believe it's a must though.

Old thread brought back from the dead.
I wonder how many people have taken the leap?

With a big stall and high lockup MPH setting (and tranny cooler), the summer heat is really getting to me.

Evans usually produces hotter temps on the gauge but the hotspots are elminated

It's going in a Darton sleeved LS motor i'm building now because it has too. I've had other customers run it in FI applications and it works well.

I wonder how or if this coolant's performance would be affected if it was used in an engine with an electric water pump?

I ran it for two years with a Meziere HD pump without a hitch.

Depends on what you want to do.... the stock LT1 pump is very good but in a drag racing situation electrical has it's advantages, in road racing the stock setup works better.
