Anyone ever heard of Patriot heads?

A local shop is pushing them... just curious if anyone has heard of them or used them.

Thanks.

Mine are great heads, making ~400 at the wheel ... And after I had custom guides built and the seals replaced after 2000 miles, the motor no longer use oil ...

Heads are one of the true parts that you get exactly what you pay for.

Re: Anyone ever heard of Patriot heads?

I don't think they are out for the lt1 just ls1 cars.Lots of guys run them they are pretty affordable with no core exchange.I have heard of a few problems with some of them think the welded ones.I guess now have heard of some more with mitch there.I assume you have an ls1 mitch..?

I was thinking of some for my ls1 in near future possibly.AFR would be another choice but are quite a bit more money.

They are real popular with the LS1s, give Steve Stumpf (Sar2K) at Thunder a call, he focuses a lot primarily on LT1 head R&D, lots of track time, he can set you up with some great heads.

Re: Anyone ever heard of Patriot heads?

SAR@K also has his ls1 heads on a 500+ rwhp 346 motor...so he does do ls1 stuff and they are working great.

Patriot aren't offered to the lt1 comunity...and i personally wouldn't run them on a ls1..but thats just me. I've heard and seen too many problems with them.
