I noticed that I have a "slow" leak at both ends of the drive shaft. There is tranny fluid on the torque arm bushing at the front of the driveshaft, and some fluid on the rear of the torque arm(where it atttaches to the differential). The fluid is not dripping or anything like that, but its very fresh cause you can see the redness of the fluid very clearly on the torque arm. Is this normal? My car is 9 years old with 69,000 miles and im thinking there are some seals that may need to be replaced.

ps. I do have the famous in-balanced drive shaft on my camaro, it usually kicks in around 112mph. I wonder if that has aggrevated the situation.

 

Probably has, but I would say you just have a rear leak in the tranny that has dripped back to the rear end. Degrease the entire shaft and confirm where it is coming from.

sounds loke proabably a tailshaft seal if it's red like ATF. you could also have a leaking pinion seal or axle tubes or diff cove if it looks like gear oil. could be one or both

 

yup i had those same leaks got it fixed about a week ago bit i never felt any vibrations soo im not sure hoe that could have happened to me,.....but they are fixed now and im happy....
