Got it, thanks man!

Expect to spend at least $750 on the whole project, less if you junkyard some of this stuff.
But I'm going to have to pass on this one.

There is a thread on this system at the CarmaroZ28 Forum

Talking Got me some coils.......

I just bought some coils from TByrne for $80

They are used and come with the used wires as well. That's not too bad of a deal!

Somethings going on that the LTCC is not going to fix. I would suggest a DynaSpark. http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...=336815&page=6
I've also go a link on the page to their website.

The Dynaspark looks cool too. But I still like the coil per cylinder idea. Mainly for spark plug wire changes!! I've never been a fan of running the wired under the alternator like that. The wires are touching metal in too many places. At least with the coils on the valve covers, they will not touch metal, and therfore rub.

the LTCC is gonna be a much hotter and more accurate spark as well.

How would it be more accurate?
The only point that I was making is that anyone who is having to replace their Opti that often is having a problem that a Dyna is not going to address.

Cause you have the spark coming straight from a coil going directly into the spark plug. No dealing with the mechanical cap and rotor. And each cylinder has its own coil, letting the coils work a lot less than the single one.

well, i replaced the original opti last summer when i put my new motor in. then that one was replaced within 50 miles of the time i put it on, so i'm assuming it was defective. the third one i think i just burnt it up inside. i'm running over 12:1 compression and have the msd box on it, so maybe it's just too much for the opti to handle? that and i just have bad luck. either way, i'm getting tired of ripping it apart and changing it, and i like the whole coil pack setup so i think that'll be my next project.
